• Is My Elements of Design drinking water faucet lead free
Answer: | All Elements of Design drinking faucets meet or exceed existing regulations that limit the level of lead in your faucet |
• If my original place of purchase says that my Item has been discontinued does that mean Elements of Design has also discontinued this item as well?
Answer: | No this does not mean Elements of Design has discontinued your item, although if a Elements of Design item has been discontinued we may not carry any replacement parts for that item replacement parts for discontinued items are limited. For further info contact Elements of Design Inc. |
• What percentage of recycled or reclaimed material is used in the manufacture of faucets?
Answer: | Most Elements of Design faucets are forged or machined from the finest refined brass material. Only few products apply for use of recycled brass material and consist of 58% copper, along with other alloy to comply with the standard of ASME plumbing code requirements by our finest engineering and artistic workmanship |
• What is the difference between Ceramic and washerless.
Answer: | Ceramic cartridge is a self contained system it consists of two ceramic disk with quarter circle opening rotating one on top of the other, and it controls water flow by either lining up or covering these openings, a washerless cartridge depends on the position of a crescent shaped opening at the bottom of the stem in relation to two rubber washers located at the bottom of the cartridge well |
• What Cleaning products should I stay away from while cleaning my Elements of Design item
Answer: | Elements of Design recommends that you only clean your faucet with a mild non abrasive soap, such as hand soap, if you notice calcium or lime build up , we suggest that you use a half and half solution of one part warm water and one part vinegar and a wash cloth do not use any harsh or abrasive items to wipe down your K.B item. |
• My Brushed Nickel faucet is tarnishing what should I do?
Answer: | Tarnishing is caused by years of use, normal wear and tear , improper maintenance such as the use of various chemical agents for cleaning, unfortunately the only feasible remedy is to replace the tarnished portion of your faucet. |
• How much space is needed for installing a vessel sink?
Answer: | All Elements of Design vessel sink are from 15” to 20” in diameter and about 5” – 8” bowl deep. Most of the vessel sink are come with installation template and manual. Make sure there is appropriate amount of space to accommodate the sink and accessories. Accessory like drain is sold separately. |
• What is the recommended hole size for my Kitchen Faucet
Answer: | The standard recommended hole size is 1 3/8" |
• Does sink come with drain?
Answer: | No, all sinks and drains are sold separately. |
• How do I find out if my valve is upside down?
Answer: | First remove the handle and retaining collar #19 & 18 on fig 1 |
